The future of finance and tech throughout Davos Week

The EmTech Invest Hub is coming back to Davos, Switzerland on May 21 to 26, 2022 with a series of exclusive events hosted by the International EmTech Investment Association and EmTech Metaverse, covering top stories on DeFi, sustainability, NFTs, immersive reality, holograms and global finance.

Alena Yudina, founder of the EmTech metaverse and an expert in visualization of tech solutions in immersive reality, shared her anticipation for the upcoming Davos week: “After a year and a half, we are thrilled to be back at Davos to discuss trends with opinion and tech leaders.

Complete with immersion into the tech world, the entire week starts with workshops on smart contracts from Cardano, a Metaverse competition by Pax.World, an MDH hologram show and real-life Web3 card payments from Ammer Wallet and Trustody.

The tech immersion doesn’t end there, however. Attendees will be able to buy a drink using their cold wallet as a form of credit card, and listen to a person speaking seemingly in close range yet, in fact, from miles away thanks to hologram technology. If this isn’t a real showcase of today’s most cutting-edge tech, then what is?

The second day of Davos Week — May 22 — offers a variety of panel discussions on sustainability in finance and tech, including DAOs, banking and blockchain challenging the status quo. Speakers from the Gulf Cooperation Council, Europe and the United States will demonstrate solutions for sustainability, smart cities and fintech.

The day opens with a panel discussion on blockchain for sustainability. Among the participants are GBBC, IEEE Blockchain Initiative and Saphi, followed by the office of Sheikh Al Quasimi and carbon credit trade organization European Crypto Initiative, presenting their solutions for blockchain-powered smart cities.

The next day will provide insights to DeFi and gather leading industry players from Polygon, Solana, Near and Cardano to talk about the future of blockchain. The panel will be moderated by Hacken. Guests will be able to “dive into DeFi” with the SwissBorg and 0VIX workshops.

Highlighting building a truly decentralized community, the Lunch with DAOs event will be a lively debate that engages the audience and uncovers challenges faced by all crypto communities.

CoinsPaid, a company providing cryptocurrency payment services and personal wallets, will close the official part of the third day.

May 24 has been announced as “The Investor Day,” complete with insights from VCs with over $500 million in AUM as well as private investors and fast-growing blockchain and tech projects. VCs will share unique insights for the panel discussion “Success is hard to earn: How to eliminate costly mistakes for startups.” Funders and investors will shed light on how to better streamline the process of setting up a business, pitch business models and more. Each project will not only participate in the FinTech Startup Award, but also be given valuable assessment and feedback on strategy and business model presentation.

One of the most exciting days of the week is going to be May 25, as EmTech Investment Hub will be presenting the Polygon Lounge with ecosystem talks and Matic payments.

The evening activities will be just as thrilling as the daytime ones, with Cointelegraph and Polygon hosting a reception in the heart of Davos with light jazz, crypto gurus and champagne — the perfect combination after such an eventful week.

Join the Polygon Lounge and make meaningful change in the world.

Alena Yudina, founder of the EmTech Investment Hub and Quantum Leap Strategy, is excited to announce more. Always involved in work with Swiss banks and regulators, Quantum Leap Strategy will host a high-level event on the future of finance and monetary reset on May 25 at the Hard Rock Hotel. Expected to gather top institutional and private investors are a keynote from one of the top investment funds Mindful VC and the panels “Are cryptocurrencies a good hedge against inflation?” “DLT, crypto and global trade” and “monetary reset forecasts.”

Among the confirmed speakers are Swiss banks, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the International Telecommunication Union, the International Labor Organization, SwissBorg, PwC, AltAlpha Digital and many more.

The last day of the EmTech Investment Hub will be based around NFTs and the Metaverse, including MetaverseTalks, Swiss banks in Metaverse reality on MetaBloqs and top trends. This is a unique chance to create an alternative reality of Davos, where the capabilities of real technologies are demonstrated.
