About the Role
This position represents an exciting opportunity to develop and support software for large-scale, highly-valuable population health research studies, several of which have been taken decades to establish. Your contributions will translate to impactful, real-world advances in public health, both nationally and globally. You will be highly engaged with the Australian and international medical research community, working to advance innovative health informatics tools.

About You
Minimum qualifications required: you will hold a degree in software engineering, computer science, engineering (with software speciality), information technology, or equivalent.
Skills and experience required to fulfil the position: you will have a demonstrated track record in object-oriented computer programming, with a focus on .Net/C#, Java, and JavaScript for the development of web applications. You will be capable of self-directed learning to understand the large, complex codebases of existing software projects, and possess expertise in relational database systems. You will have experience leading new software projects through the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). You will have a solid understanding of cloud computing and virtualisation, and have experience with Linux system configuration, administration, and maintenance.
